The members of the Hong Kong Mindfulness Teachers Network provide mindfulness-based instruction to a wide variety of populations including children, adolescents and adults, in varied settings including schools, corporations, workplaces and public venues. Mindfulness-based instruction is available as group courses and one-on-one instruction with individuals.
It is our objective to promote contact, exchange of information and co-operation on mutually beneficial projects amongst those who are teaching mindfulness in Hong Kong. The development of this English-language website is the first of these mutually beneficial projects.
Mindfulness teachers and affiliates will also benefit through opportunities to strengthen their mindfulness practice, and continuing professional development and learning.
In joining the Hong Kong Mindfulness Teachers Network, members agree to the Guiding Principles, which are intended to promote good practice in teaching mindfulness. The Network is not a training or accrediting body and the Guiding Principles are not mandatory in nature but are intended to advise members.
Our primary purpose in teaching mindfulness is to bring more wisdom and compassion into our own lives and into the lives of those we teach.
Membership is open to those who fulfil the following criteria:
- Agree to abide by the Guiding Principles of the Network
- Have a regular daily mindfulness practice.
- Are already teaching or intend to teach mindfulness within the next 12 months.
