In-Person Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction MBSR (8 Weeks)

MBSR is the original 8-week mindfulness course founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at The University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1979. It is held in a group setting, with teacher-guided instruction of formal and informal mindfulness practices in order to cultivate awareness of the ways that the mind and body connect for health and well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is an evidence-based practice giving students access to a lifetime of optimal health and well-being. Through integration of the whole being, students learn how to break negative cycles and tap into their own uniqueness in eight weeks.

We take a deep and exploratory journey within as we learn to take time aside each day to just connect with ourselves and observe our thought patterns.

This eight week program is in person (Hong Kong) and includes:

  • Information Session – This runs for 90 minutes and provides an overview of the eight week program including mindfulness practices, research and course particulars. This is your opportunity to raise any questions you have about the program and to get to know us.
  • 8 x Weekly Sessions – Each session runs for 2.5 hours. You will be provided with hand-outs and audio recordings to support you along the way.
  • 1 Day Retreat – This runs for seven hours and is designed to deepen your awareness of mindfulness through the formal cultivation over an extended period of time. We hope to have this in person.
  • Home Practice – For a minimum of 45 minutes each day, students are encouraged to find time for meditation practice.

By the end of the program students will be equipped with resources to live a more enriched life.

Course dates and times –

The MBSR information evening will be held in ONLINE  from 7pm – 8.30pm on Thursday 6th October 2022.

The session provides a brief introduction to mindfulness practices, research, course particulars, and Q&A about joining a course. It is required of all enrolled participants to attend one of these sessions. There is no cost to attend an information evening.

8 week MBSR Course dates –

In person Thursdays 13th October – 1st December 2022, 7pm – 9.30pm

The All Day Retreat will be held in person on 20th November 2022, Central

Course Fees HKD3500.00
