This evidence-based 8-week MBSR: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (Cantonese) program in Hong Kong follows the exact original 8-week curriculum developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Mindfulness, which has brought mindfulness meditation into the mainstream for 40 years. Through an experiential approach, you will learn how to cultivate self-care and resilience holistically through the interconnection of mind and body – and awaken your own inner capacity for better stress management, coping, and healing. MBSR can help people who are coping with medical problems, job or family-related stress, and anxiety and depression. The majority of participants report lasting decreases in both physical and psychological symptoms. Pain levels improve and people learn to better cope with pain that may not go away. Most people also report an increased ability to relax, greater enthusiasm for life, improved self-esteem, and increased ability to cope more effectively with stressful situations.

Cost (inclusive of workbook, readings and meditation recordings):
HK$ 4,000 (Early Bird price on or before Jan 1st, 2022) (2 accompany discount $7,400)
HK$ 4,500 (Payments after Jan 1st, 2022) (2 accompany discount $8,100)

Certificate requirement: Attend at least 7 classes AND the all-day retreat in order to receive a certificate of completion issued by the qualified teacher. This credential can be used to fulfill further teaching training pre-requisite set out by mindfulness training institutes such as UMass. Medical School Center for Mindfulness, Brown University Mindfulness Center, Oxford Mindfulness Centre, etc.
