If you are interested in increasing your emotional intelligence, then the Cultivating Emotional Balance (CEB) program could be what you are looking for. Emotional intelligence refers to being intelligent about your emotional life: more self-aware, better able to handle strong emotions, more sensitive to the emotions of others – and able to put all that together to develop more effective, satisfying relationships at home, with friends and in the workplace.
A study of schoolteachers who attended CEB in the USA found significant increases in positive emotions, mindfulness, attentiveness to others, as well as better sleep, quicker recovery from emotional upsets and reduced depression, anxiety and compulsive thinking.
The course consists of 6 full day sessions (20, 27 October, 3, 18, 25 November, 1 December 2018 9:00am – 4:30pm).
Course Leader: Peta McAuley PhD who has been teaching mindfulness since 2003 and trained in CEB at the inaugural teacher training in 2010.
Note: Attendance at one of the orientations is required prior to enrollment. Please see here for details and enrollment.
