A Morning of Mindfulness for Childrens Teachers of Mindfulness
Returning in the fall after a long break are our gatherings for those who teach mindfulness to young people. This half-day session will be held on Sunday, October 28 from 9.30am.
These monthly half-day gatherings are intended to help us strengthen our personal practice, as well as offer an opportunity to share our experiences and challenges whatever the teaching environment. The morning will consist of guided and silent sitting and walking or movement practices, as well as some time to share experiences and challenges.
This half-day practice retreat is open to those who have completed training, or are in the process of completing their training, to teach mindfulness to children/adolescents (Method Eline Snel – Mindfulness for Children (Mindfulness Matters!), MiSP .B and paws B, Mindful Schools and others). We welcome mindfulness teachers from all sections of the community whether that be education, health, or private practice.
We are very grateful to Ashima Sharma who has secured a space for us at a club house in Tai Po. Our aim is to offer attendees these practice days at no cost but in order to do this, we rely on the generosity of anyone who may be able to secure locations / facilities around Hong Kong. As teachers live throughout HK in many different areas we would like to offer options for monthly practice days in different locations in HK. For those getting the MTR I believe the closest stations are Tai Po Market or Tai Wo and from there a taxi is required.
Cost: Donation based (we accept donations to help pay for the venue hire and to build our kitty to use for future event venue hire)
