We all know what it feels like to be stressed, to feel as if you are living on autopilot, with a sense of ‘mindlessness’ – a loss of awareness resulting in forgetfulness and a sense of living mechanically. By contrast, ‘mindfulness’ involves intentionally paying attention to any or all of your experiences, internal and external, occurring in the present moment. Through mindfulness training, the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program will teach you how to become more aware of the physical and psychological factors impacting on your well-being. This in turn allows for more skilful choices, a richer experience of day-to-day life, and the development of a stronger sense of self-mastery, self-care and self-responsibility.
Please note the course also includes a full day session on Sunday 4th June, 2017, 9:30am – 4:30pm.
Attendance at one of the orientations is required prior to enrollment in the course.
