MBSR - Cathy is a Certified MBSR teacher from the Mindfulness Center at Brown University. Her early training completed as a CFM Qualified MBSR Teacher from the Center for Mindfulness (CFM) at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, USA where the original 8-week MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) program for adults was founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn, and mindfulness research has been conducted for 40 years. MiSP - Cathy is a certified teacher in all of the Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) curriculums from England. She facilitates courses/workshops in international schools for school staff, students & parents to introduce mindfulness concepts to enhance the learning environment and improve the well-being in the school community.

Having lived in several countries, she is sensitive to cultural differences, adapting to change and the stresses of urban lifestyles. Being a parent of a teenager, she believes that practicing and teaching mindfulness truly makes a difference in maintaining equanimity and helping others finding focus, resilience and harmony in personal, work and family life.
She completed her Masters in Buddhist Studies, MBS, degree at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2011 and has practiced meditation for 17 years. With a personal interest in medical research about the effects of meditation on blood sugar management in diabetes, she teaches from experiential knowledge of the impact of mindfulness on health and well-being.
She is an occasional guest teacher at the Friday Lunchtime Practice Group in Central.
